Houghton Lake

nice site, grew up at houghton lake 14 summers, parents owned "Golfs Resort" in the heights, loved it there, still vacation there from Ohio. great pictires.

Thank you so much for the pictures.I lived there from 1985 to 1987.I am german and everything was so different and new.My marriage did not work out and i went back home to Germany,but i love Houghton Lake so very much.I never met anyone mean.Everybody was so nice to me.I love the nature and the summers there.My heart is still there.Thank you sooo much for the pictures.Regards Evelyn

i spent a lot of my summers camping at houghton lake in the late 50,s and 60,s. we came from galveston ,in. to houghton lake to camp. i remember a bait shop and a big boat tied to a pier. and an old man named mac.i would love to visit one day...

My husband and I are meeting with a realtor 9/24/09 to look @ some lakefront homes. I thankyou for this site, because I couldn't find anything else about Houghton Lake, except for it's history. I'm not sure how big the township is.......but it worries me they don't even have an official website. Wish us luck!

I visit Houghton Lake once a year to visit freinds. I love it there. This is our first for a fall trip. I hope to see a lot of color.
