I was surfing and found this sight. Thanks for all the pictures and write up. My Grandfather was Harry Blower, and Grandma was Helen. I lived with them and went to school all my life up there. I was in the first class to Graduate from Our Lady of The Lake Catholic school. We had the building with the house on top of it across from the Music Box. The Kelly's where best friends with us. Grandpa built a slid that went from M-55 into Houghton Lake. He was good friends with Earl Johnson (Johnson's Resort) I could go on for days about Prudenville. A lot of people don't know about the pig farm in Prudenville, that ran into Denton creek. One of the gun smith's in Prudenville use to open safes for the Purple Gang. Thanks again. Jim Osterman

When I was a boy about 50 years ago my grandpa brought my cousin and I hunt near Prudenville. There was a gas station in or near Prudenville that had a stuffed two-headed calf. Does anyone know where this gas station was?
